New Home in New Westminster

Project Details

This new home in New Westminster was constructed on the site of a former pre-WWII bungalow.  The owners required a simple yet functional home for an active family.  The budget was modest; the taste was transitional.  The main floor interior was designed with an open concept, but spacially defined through millwork placement and bulkheads.

Project Team:

Architect/Interior Designer: Wendy Andrews, Hearth Architectural Inc. +

The Andrews Architects Inc.

Intern Architect: Jesse Ratcliffe, Hearth Architectural Inc.

Contractor: Dan Swanson & Trevor Carle, Town & Country Developments Ltd.

(We) feel very thankful for having retained Wendy as an architect for our new home construction. She was able to help us with efficiently planning our living space and making best use of the available natural light.  We were guided through the whole process from the early planning to the construction phase to all the final finishing. It was very comforting to plan all the details in advance and not be forced to make numerous snap decisions while the house was being built. We now live in the house and are very happy with the design.
